Purpose before production

Let the person
carry the story.

A useful interview film does more than record answers. It helps the viewer understand a person’s experience, a business’s perspective, or a change that matters. Emberhouse plans the conversation and supporting footage together, with attention to both the message and the person delivering it.

Customer testimonials

Help a customer describe their experience in their own words, with specific context and an authentic perspective.

Executive interviews

Give leadership room to explain a decision, a vision, or an important message with clarity and confidence.

Employee stories

Introduce the people behind the work and the experiences that give an organization its character.

Founder & expert profiles

Connect a person’s knowledge or origin story with the audience that needs to hear it.

A filmmaker’s approach

Make room
for a conversation.

The right questions help. So do a considered location, clear expectations, a realistic schedule, and a crew that handles the technical details. We can plan an interview-led approach that gives participants space to sound like themselves while keeping the film’s objective in view.

Get to know our process

  1. Find the perspective

Decide whose experience is relevant, who will watch, and what the film needs to communicate.

  2. Prepare without over-rehearsing

Develop questions, coordinate participants, and explain the filming process before the shoot.

  3. Record the conversation

Capture the interview with careful attention to sound, lighting, and supporting imagery.

  4. Build the story

Select and organize the answers into an accurate narrative, with the agreed review and delivery process.

Scope it with intention

One conversation.
Purposeful edits.

An interview can support a longer story and shorter pieces when those uses are planned. We define the questions, framing, supporting footage, and editing scope around the deliverables you need.

Deliverables, revision allowances, licensing, and timelines are defined in your production agreement.

Possible deliverables / Defined per project

  • An interview-led finished film
  • Supporting location footage
  • Names, titles, and captions, as scoped
  • Agreed short edits and formats

Before we roll

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Do participants need to memorize a script?

An interview-led film usually works from questions and themes rather than memorized paragraphs. If a message needs precise wording, we can discuss the right approach during planning.

Can you film at our workplace?

Often, yes. We consider room noise, available space, background, access, interruptions, and practical production needs before confirming the setup.

What makes a testimonial useful?

A clear account of a real experience: what the situation was, what happened, and why it mattered to that person. Specific, supportable statements are more useful than broad promotional claims.

Can we create several interview clips from one shoot?

Yes, when the questions, schedule, and editing deliverables are planned for that purpose. Separate clips still require editing, finishing, and review time.

Are the selected projects all customer testimonials?

No. The examples show interview-led storytelling across company and human-interest films. We select the format around your brief rather than treating every interview as a testimonial.
