Most customers encounter sod after it has been harvested, transported, and delivered. The opportunity was to show everything behind it: the fields, equipment, movement, and people responsible for bringing the product to market. Emberhouse approached Buena Vista Turf with the idea of turning its operation into a cinematic brand story.
Real work. Real scale.
The farm remained operational throughout the September 12, 2025 shoot. We worked around active equipment and daily operations, capturing the business as it actually functions. Aerial cinematography established the geometry and scale of the fields. Ground-level coverage brought viewers closer to harvesting, machinery, and the people at work. Slow motion emphasized movement, texture, and detail.

Protect the product’s color.
For a turf producer, color is part of the product itself. The grade focused on rich, healthy-looking turf while keeping the grass accurate and believable. The aim was a polished cinematic finish without artificial or oversaturated greens.

The completed film showcases Buena Vista Turf Farm’s acreage, equipment, daily operations, and overall scale. Emberhouse handled the project from concept through final color, with Forrest McBride and Adam Kolenberg handling production.
